I don't have their stats right now but off the top of my head I'd say the Tigers top 5 are...(not in any order)

    P- Justin Verlander
    P- Joel Zumaya
P- Kyle Sleeth (injured this year)
OF- Curtis Granderson (just got called up)
OF- Cameron Maybin (#1 draft pick this year).

Maybin hasn't signed yet and is a long way from being ready, but he's got a lot of potential. Many scouts had him ranked right up there with Justin Upton (who went #1 to the DBacks).

I'm very pleased with the Progress in the Tigers farm system this year. It had been considered one of the worst in all of baseball. But that shouldn't be the case next year.

    1. Conor Jackson
    1. Carlos Quentin
    3. Luis Terrero= in the majors
    4. Mike Gosling= in the majors
    5. Stephen Drew
    5. Justin Upton

Im sure there are others just REALLY late and REALLY tired.
  4. Razma SRMer

    2B. Josh Barfield
Of Ben Johnson (saw time a few weeks ago)
OF Freddy Guzman (out for year, might be starting CF next year)
1B/OF Jon Knott (best power in the organization)
1B/OF Paul McAnulty ( 1B of the future)

    minor leaguers

    Dodgers
    1. Chad Billingsley SP 20 AA 7-4 4.39 94.1 36/110
    2. Joel Guzman SS 20 AA .285 13 HR .347 OBP .482 SLG
    3. Andy LaRoche 3B 21 AA (Spent time in Single A+) .264 6 HR (had 21-23 in A+ league highest in minors) .347 OBP .482 SLG
    4. Rusell Martin C 22 AA .302 5 HR .422 OBP .399 SLG
    5. Jonathan Broxton 21 SP/RP AA 4-3 3.40 90 29/96 (moved to reliever and has hit 101 on the gun which has increased his value).

The order for putting Billingsley, LaRoche, and Guzman is very debatable. I give the nod to Billingsley because he has such good stuff and I rate LaRoche higher than Guzman because he has done more this season.

    Athletics
    1. Daric Barton 1B/OF 19 AA .333 2 HR .403 OBP .571 SLG(Spent time in Single A+)
    2. Dan Meyer SP 24 AAA 6.1 1-6 59 31/40
    3. Andre Either OF 23 AA .332 14 HR .393 OBP .518 SLG
    4. Jason Windsor SP 23 AA (Spent time in Single A+) 3-3 3.83 44.2 15/35
    5. Jairo Garcia RP 22 AAA 5.68 3-5 31.2 15/52 (spent time in Double A)

I do not know the players numbers combined from both leagues I just know their numbers in their current league. Meyer still has high potential so he goes number 2 even with his injury plagued year. Either has had a monster year to make him jump a lot and Windsor has performed well this year as well. Garcia has great stuff with bad command. It is debatable to rank Cliff Pennington (taken in this year's draft) or Javier Herrera ahead of him. High schoolers they drafted also have a lot of potential.

    The Milwaukee Brewers:

    1. Prince Fielder- Although his average and defense isnt the greatest, his power is amazing, he could definetly be a 40-50 HR guy.

    2. Jose Capellan- Hes got a very good fastball around upper 90s, but control can be an issue.

    3. Corey Hart- Has played 1B, 3B, and OF during his minor league Carrer, currently he is ripping up AAA. .304BA 14HR 57RBI 24 SB

    4. Nelson Cruz- He has split time between AA and AAA but is making a huge impact in AAA currently batting .340 with 5 HR 12 RBI in 100 at bats.

    5. Dave Krynzel- Was considered to be the starting CF during Spring Training with incredable speed, but since then he has sort of dropped down a little bit since being demoted.

The O's are kind of thin, but heres what we got.

P John Maine- had a good debut this year, and is a solid, middle of the rotation starting pitcher. He has good command, and poise.

OF Nick Markasis- he is tearing it up in AA now after his callup, and he is projected as a September call up for expanded rosters. He may even skip AAA and be with the Orioles in 2006. However, most sources say his biggest impact will be in 2007.

P Chris Ray- Originally slotted as a starter, Ray turned to relief last year. Boy, was it a great choice. Now, he can throw his fastball and slider with more authority, and become a power pitcher. In his brief stint with the O's this year as an AA call up, he showed tremendous confidence, as he combined with Todd Williams to be the set up men for BJ Ryan. He is the closer of the future, unless Ryan is locked up long term.

1B Walter Young- we got him off Waivers from the Pirates, and he has been better than advertised. We thought Young was a hit or miss home run hitter a la Russ Branyan, but halfway through AA last year, he caught fire and became an overall threat, and that continued into this year. For 300 pounds, he is also good around the bag.

Adam Loewen- just for the potential he has, I will name him on my list. Injuries and an 11th hour signing to prevent him from going back into the draft have really stunted Loewen. If he can get healthy, he is a tremendous talent, and will be the ace of a staff. And, he is left handed.

Wow, I'm surprised you'd put Jacobs in there. I'd probably go with

    1. Petit
    2. Gaby
    3. Pelfrey
    4. Milledge
    5. Bannister

    My Tigers list.

1- Justin Verlander SP AA Erie SeaWolves 22 years old

Completely dominated high A and AA ball. Gotta love his consistant 96-99 MPH fastball. Did toying with his starts/innings just to call him up for 2 spot starts hurt him this year??? Remains to be seen.

2- Joel Zumaya SP AAA Toledo MudHens 20 years old

Has been almost as good as Verlander this season but control has been an issue at times (73 walks in 141 IP). Had a rough first start at AAA this year but has been lights out since then. This kid leads the minors in strikeouts and has a 95 - 98 MPH fastball much like Verlander. Viewed by some as a future closer because of violent delivery.

3- Curtis Granderson OF AAA Toledo MudHens 24 years old

Centerfielder of the futre?? Maybe. Decent power with plus speed. Big knock on Granderson is his 129 K's in 445 AB at AAA this season. With the injury to Rondell White Granderson will probably stay up with the Tigers for the rest of the season.

4- Brent Clevlen OF A Lakeland Tigers 21 years old

Struggled last season but is tearing it up in A ball this season hitting .306 with 16 HR 93 RBI 10 SB in 431 AB (his 102 K's are a concern). Kind of suprised he hasn't earned a promotion to AA yet. Clevlen was named MVP of the Florida State League All-Star game and won the HR Derby this season.

5- Tony Giarratano SS AA Erie SeaWolves 22 years old

Struggling at the plate this season but has a top notch glove. Nice speed but little power. Could be ready in 2 years when Carlos Guillen's contract is up.

Honorable mention- Ryan Raburn, Juan Tejeda, Wilkin Ramirez, Jeff Frazier, Clete Thomas

Hard for me to put Sleeth on my list considering he just had Tommy John surgery. Just as hard for me to put Maybin on my list considering he is an unsigned high school player.
