Lebron is not hype. You guys act like all he does is loose. Every team he will ever be on is a contender. Maybe he has yet to win a championship, but you guys are making him out to be Monta Ellis.

Not mention it is completely illogical to say Lebron hasn't won anything, when he has had many, many more postseason victories and has consistently played deeper into the playoffs than Rose thus far plus outplayed him head to head..... and then turn around and not rank Rose using those same standards. So Rose's team happens to have the best record in the league this season 15 games in.... big fucking deal. That makes him no more of a 'winner' than Lebron. The Lebron bias is utterly ridiculous. I don't think I know 2 harsher critics of Lebron over the years than Skip Bayless and JShow, but at least they are both objective and say he is the best all around player in the league.

... this thread should have been locked the moment someone ranked him the 6th best player in the league. As a basketball enthusiast, I am actually offended by that.

The funny thing is that he is being ranked there based on winning. Let's look at the 5 above him in that particular list:

1- Durant (His arm must get sore carrying around all those rings)
2- Rose (His arm is almost as sore as Durant's!)
3- Kobe (Alright, here is a player that actually has won)
4- Wade (He has a ring, but hasn't consistently been a contender)
5- Howard (He's one of my favorite players solely because of all of his championships)

    So let us compare:

If we are going based on all-around ability, is anyone on this list more talented than LeBron? You can make an argument for 1, maybe 2.

If we are going based on winning, who on this list as won more than LeBron? 1, with an argument for 2.

LeBron, at worst, finishes 3rd in both comparisons. How that puts him at 6th, I don't know.

LeBron is a good player...but he is not the best. Thread could be locked after Kevin Love doesnt make top 13.....

haha , nice. i like that.

It's hard to think of 6 better small fowards all time let alone 6 better players right now.

Outside of Jordan and Reggie Miller (greatest clutch player all-time IMO) most championship teams that I remember got clutch shots from players who aren't considered to be HOF players. Just going over quickly - the Dream dominated for Houston but clutch shots late in games I remember coming from Cassell, Elie and Horry - and the other vet guy who danced around the court after he hit a big shot vs the Suns I believe).

    SA- Sean Elliot
    Lakers - Fisher, Rice, Horry

The fact with LeBron is that you put him on any team and their name will come up as contenders. Those Cleveland teams were far from stacked but his last year in Cleveland Orlando had to play out of their minds to beat them. People measure a basketball player by what they do in the final 10 seconds because of what Jordan did.

I find this post very disrespectful to my guy Steve Kerr! He was Jordan's big shot maker, at least once haha

1.) Skip Bayliss doesnt say he is the best player. He always carefully chooses his words by saying things like is the most dominant athlete, and things like that. He always says Kobe or DWade are the best.

2.) Don't pretend its some short term shock the Bulls have the best record. Rose got them to the best record last year also...

So when Rose gets a 1 seed and no championship it is okay, but when Lebron gets a 1 seed and no championship he is Monta Ellis?
  12. TyKixx SRMer

Rose hasn't done anything that Lebron hasn't or can't do.
  13. TyKixx SRMer

You simply can not negate Lebron for not winning, then turnaround and not judge Howard, Rose, Durant, etc. by the same standards. That is completely illogical, hypocritical, and biased.
