New York Jets backup quarterback Tim Tebow is a fan favorite and a media darling, but the New York media may not take too kindly to his recent comments about them.
At a recent public speaking appearance for his one-year appointment to the Florida Gators Boosters board, Tebow seemingly sounded off on the New York media, according to quotes via Chris Harry of GatorZone.com:
On the New York media: "They've been very accurate in their reporting. First, I was living in the city. Then I was in Hoboken—and I've never even been to Hoboken. I think I've dated three or four different girls I've never met. But it's been interesting. And fun...I just try to be myself and have fun and smile and laugh, but sometimes some of them are taken aback by it. It's like, 'Why aren't you more serious?' Because I like to laugh and have fun. I enjoy my life."
Now I'm not an expert on sarcasm, but am I the only one sensing a little bit of it here?
