Walker? His knees are a huge problem. What about Robin Lopez? (or even Hickson)
  2. Dahoodlifez SRMer

It is just a mock draft and I don't give a shit, which is why I would just like everyone to make their picks and hurry up so we actually get done before the actual draft.
  3. maher789 SRMer

Ex nay on the name drop-ay.
  4. bengals11891 SRMer

The Grizz select Robin Lopez. We really needed a center because what team wants to have Kwame Brown in its starting line up. Lopez will pair nicely with Darrell Arthur.
  5. maher789 SRMer

Kirk Hinrich needs to go. ASAP. PM for trade proposals.

With the 29th pick in the first round...

    The Detroit Pistons select...

F/C from Rider, Jason Thompson (6'10", 245 Lbs)

With Detroit having been in the EC Finals for 6 straight years, they need an NBA-ready player. Four-year player who averaged 20 Pts, 11 Rebs, 2 Blks in his last 2 years? Sign me up!

Nice sleeper pick. He plays like 5 minutes down 95 from me. Like you said, I think he'll be able to contribute early. He is a pretty polished player. He'll definately push Maxiell and Amir Johnson for minutes.
  8. J-Pass The Producer

I think Jason Maxiell is really underrated also. When the Sixers play Detroit, he's usually a big factor for them.

Thompson's a good value pick though, especially considering how weak they are at center behind Rasheed.
  9. kofanis0880 SRMer

    F/C Serge Ibaka

    baby KG.
  10. ACC Rulez SRMer

Good pick, but he might be more of a Baby Shawn Kemp.
I thought about him with the Spurs pick.
  11. kofanis0880 SRMer

That's who they compared him to on nbadraft.net (Kemp)

But he has some outside range that I wasn't expecting, I know they were highlights but he was pretty wet.
  12. TyKixx SRMer

His highlight reel, if its the same one, is against a bunch of 6 ft middle school looking bums. The phrase "man amongst boys" is all too literally when it comes to his highlight reel.
  13. kofanis0880 SRMer

Look at the one where is playing for L'hospital. Not that shit one with all the white midgets lol.
  14. ACC Rulez SRMer

It did look like a church rec league, but I have heard good things about him.
  15. TyKixx SRMer

Yea youtube does have more convincing footage of him finally. looks a lot more impressive.
  16. TyKixx SRMer

    bump for mesa
  17. TyKixx SRMer

Mesa is over his limit. He can still make his pick if he gets on.

Anyway, the Wolves need a big. I narrowed it down to four guys, but don't want to name drop so i'll vote for the guy I actually think Mesa would be interested in and that is Devon Hardin from Cal.
  18. Dahoodlifez SRMer

JJ Hickson PF from NC State
  19. ACC Rulez SRMer

JJ Hickson should have drafted by now. Actually, i don't know why he stayed in the draft. Oh well....that's my pick. (ACC Rulez of course)
  20. mesahotguy5 SRMer

Gimme a minute. Sorry guys dont have internet access on the weekends.
  21. mesahotguy5 SRMer

The Minnesota Timberwolves select JJ Hickson the PF from NC St.

I needed to get Jefferson some help up front along with having Foye, McCants, Mayo in the backcourt as well as Gomes and Brewer being able to handle some minutes back there.
  22. TyKixx SRMer

    Seattle/Oklahoma City selects...

Combo Guard Mike Taylor from the NBDL's Idaho Stampede by way of Iowa State.

It isn't an overly impressive PG class, but Taylor is one of the most explosive guards in this draft. Quite an unknown at this point, but light up the rookie camps and really created a buzz. Getting a chance to play in the D-League last year can only be beneficial. The Sonics needed some backcourt help and I think Taylor will surprise a lot of people.

PG- Luke Ridnour / Mike Taylor
SG- Jeff Green / Courtney Lee / Mike Taylor
SF- Kevin Durant / Damien Wilkins
PF- Anthony Randolph / Nick Collison
C- Chris Wilcox / Johan Petro / Mouhammed Sene

Expiring Contracts: Adrian Griffin, Donyell Marshall, Maalik Rose

Euros: PG Petteri Koponen, PG/SG Yotam Haleprin, C Peter Feshe
  23. kofanis0880 SRMer

Not a big deal but the Sonics start Durant at the 2 and Green at the 3. Green actually did not even play one minute at the SG position this past season.
  24. TyKixx SRMer

Your right, its not a big deal  . I just figured, I like Green's ball handling, especially his passing. I figured he could help in the backcourt, setting up Durant. They are pretty interchangeable, either way would be fine.
  25. kofanis0880 SRMer

Im taking PG/SG Kyle Weaver out of Washington St.

Basically a poor man's Brandon Roy (he went to a poor mans U Washington too)
  26. mesahotguy5 SRMer

The Minnesota Timberwolves select the C from Cal. Davon Hardin

    PG- Randy Foye/ Marko Jaric
    SG- OJ Mayo/ Rashard McCants
    SF- Ryan Gomes/ Corey Brewer
    PF- Craig Smith/ JJ Hickson
    C- Al Jefferson/ Chris Richard/ Davon Hardin
  27. m2k989 SRMer

Nice draft. You get the BPA at #3, and the frontcourt depth you want later.
  28. TyKixx SRMer

I agree. Landing Hardin and Hickson would be awesome for the Wolves.
