SRM All-Time NBA Draft (BUCKEYE)

This will be the thread for the all-time draft. This isn't going to be very hardcore, we won't even have deadlines for picks. We'll go about very leisurely, just try to do what you can to make a pick.

The rules are simple: You can pick any player from any team in NBA history and put them on your team. At the end of the draft, we'll pit our lineups against each others in tournament style poll games. Giving each round 3-4 days to get as many votes for each team as we can.. we'll try and fit in 2 rounds a week.

The draft will be 12 rounds, we'll begin a day after we have about 12-16 members. I'll give you all notice through the thread.

Draft order to be determined. We'll have to figure a way to do this.

I like it I couldn't think of a team name, so my team will be called... TBA.

I could help you out with the draft order if you want, I will pick out of a hat (I swear to god I will not cheat).

I think we should do the draft like the fantasy baseball draft was (round 1: team A, Team B, team C... round 2: team Z, team Y, team X... and so on and so forth) since we are not basing it on a how good or bad a team did, that is the fairest way to do it.

I think we should od it based on originality of team name and in the that case imperial would go first

If that the case I should have named my team I love all my players like Pokey Chatman

he is the only one with an original name... If we were going by that, how would we pick between the Celtics and Lakers, that would be tough.

I just changed "Stephen Colbert presents Stephen Colbert's Alpha Squad 7: The New Tek Jansen Adventures" to "Stephen Colbert presents Stephen Colbert's American Dream: A Basketball Team".

But since you hate it so much, and your opinion is valued so highly to me. I'll change it to simply "Stephen Colbert's American Dream", the Stephen Colbert thing is going to be my gimmick for the next few weeks for this draft.

at first i reluctantly joined but now i am kind of really looking forward to what types of all time teams people can put together

I think we should do what Ty did, and in the odd numbered rounds go with that order, and in the even numbered rounds reverse the order.

Alright, I'll do that then.

We'll do it like a snake draft, like in Yahoo Sports drafting.

Round 1 - A B C
Round 2 - C B A
Round 3 - A B C

and so on and so forth.

I'd like to get 2 more people in this so if anyone else is interested let me know before midnight.

We'll get started tomorrow then, since we'll determine the draft order pretty easily.
