Spencer Hawes will remain a Sixer.
The 24-year-old center on Wednesday reached a two-year agreement with the Sixers, CSNPhilly.com's Dei Lynam has confirmed. The deal was first reported by Yahoo! Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski, who reported that the contract is worth $13.1 million.
Hawes earned $4 million last season, his fifth in the NBA, and was an unrestricted free agent.
The 7-foot-1 Seattle native played just 37 games last season as he battled back and Achilles injuries. He averaged 9.6 points in 25 minutes per game, and averaged career highs in rebounds (7.3), assists (2.7), blocks (1.3), and field-goal percentage (48.9).
