Sabres' first-round picks paired at development camp

    Mikhail Grigorenko's stated goal for next season is simple.

    "Make the NHL," one of the Buffalo Sabres' two first-round draft choices this summer said Monday after his first practice of the team's development camp.

    It's not as cut and dried for Zemgus Girgensons, the other first-rounder. He's committed to the University of Vermont for next season, but said after practice at First Niagara Center that no final decision has been made.

    "Nothing's been clarified yet. We'll see what happens after camp. I don't know," he said. "That's something I've got to talk through this week. I think it will be my own decision. No one's pushing me, but it's something I have to decide. ... It's something in me, what my heart's going to say."
