WAVY TV in Virginia Beach is reporting city officials there will announce a plan to build a new arena later today.

Reports surfaced on Thursday morning which say a consortium of sports and entertainment companies are working to bring the NBA's Sacramento Kings to Virginia Beach, VA.
The Virginian-Pilot is reporting a top business executive with the consortium will make a public presentation to the Virginia Beach city council next Tuesday.
Discussions are currently centering around the construction of an 18,000-seat arena near the ocean front, according to the report.
