Jerryd Bayless is a Torontonian.

He may not always be a Raptor but he's a Torontonian.

Bayless, who becomes a restricted NBA free agent on Sunday, hasn't wavered in his intense desire to return to the Raptors and he continues his love affair with the city.

"Honestly, I'm going to be here no matter what, I'm looking to buy a place," Bayless said Thursday before making an appearance at Raptors draft party. "If I'm not here (as a player), I'm still going to be here during the summertime."

The Raptors have extended a qualifying offer to the 23-year-old point guard after he averaged 11.4 points and 3.8 assists in 31 games last season.

The bookkeeping measure assures Toronto the right to match any offer Bayless gets when NBA free agency opens on Sunday.
