Barring a move before Thursday, Reggie McKenzie will have to spend Day One of his first draft as the Raiders' general manager sitting on his hands.
The Raiders don't pick this year until the end of the third round, 95th overall. So McKenzie will wait until the end of the day Friday to deliver the Raiders' first selection since the death of iconic owner Al Davis last October.
The Raiders sent their first-round pick to Cincinnati last season for quarterback Carson Palmer and their second-round choice to the Patriots last year for picks they used on tackle Joe Barksdale (third round) and running back Taiwan Jones (fourth). Oakland used this year's third-round pick for Terrelle Pryor in last year's supplemental draft, and traded this year's fourth-, and seventh-round picks. The team has five selections this year; three, including the third-rounder, are compensatory for losing free agents.
