Phils' Halladay gears up for second-half return

    Roy Halladay did not appear to be particularly sharp, but he got off the mound healthy in his first competitive action since May 27.

    Halladay pitched three innings for Single-A Clearwater at Bright House Field on Thursday night. He allowed three hits and an unearned run in three innings of work against the Minnesota Twins' Fort Myers club. He did not walk a batter and struck out four.

    Halladay threw 63 pitches, 44 of which were strikes. After those three innings, he went to the bullpen and threw more as he tried to push his pitch count above 70.
