Yahoo reports as breaking news. In reality, this was a foregone conclusion months ago. Good luck with that Orlando Bobcats.

Bad decision. When Howard skips town, like he is inevitably going to... they will realize they gutted the entire team's identity.

what identity? they didn't have much identity outside of van gundy and howard

They'd be smart to hire D'Antoni. I know you could say that about most teams in need of a coach... but a lot of the players they have would really fit his system well. They also have the money, if they chose to, to really pursue Jeremy Lin.
  5. Too bad D Howard is next to leave!

Their identity is to play in-out off of Howard... They lose him, they have to establish a new identity anyway... Might as well try to appease Howard enough to resign.

They weren't that bad without Howard. I think in the right system, and with the money they'd have if Howard left, I think there's still alot of potential for them to be a very competitive team.

well they have to pay ryan anderson, who w/o howard drawing attention inthe middle, was pretty average again. they still have hedo under contract, jrich, and jameer. all average players who get paid big bucks

Just spitballing/realgming some trade ideas for Howard that make a little bit of sense:

Dwight Howard & Chris Duhon from Orlando for Paul Pierce & Rajon Rondo from Boston

Dwight Howard, Hedo Turkoglu & J.J Redick from Orlando for Luol Deng, Joakim Noah & Carlos Boozer from Chicago

Dwight Howard, Chris Duhon & Glen Davis from Orlando for Andrew Bynum & Pau Gasol from L.A. Lakers
