Jerryd Bayless led the 2008 Las Vegas summer league with 29.8 points a game and was named the event's most valuable player on the eve of his rookie NBA season.
On Sunday, in a Las Vegas high school gym where the Griz scrimmaged the Sacramento Kings, Bayless didn't get a bucket. That's because the 6-3 combo guard watched from the bleachers, scoring his first points as a Grizzly off the floor. Bayless signed a two-year contract with Memphis earlier in the week then visited members of the organization for the first time Sunday.
