New College Coaching Rumors

    Arkansas:
    Mike Leach is the frontrunner right now. Butch Davis rumors are starting to circulate again. Lane Kiffin and Tommy Tubberville are longshots

    Duke:
    They talked with Steve Spurrier this week. Also looking at Steve Logan (BC offensive coordinator), David Cutcliffe (Tennessee Offensive Coordinator), Terry Bowden, Paul Johnson, and Chan Gailey

    Georgia Tech:
    Will Muschcamp (Auburn defensive coordinator) appears to be the front runnner. Also looking at Rick Neuheisel, Chris Hatcher (Georgia Southern HC), John Tenuta (GT Defensive Coordinator), Chris Pedersen, Randy Edsall, and Charlie Strong (Florida offensive coordinator)

    Houston:
    Got permission to speak with Major Applewhite (Alabama Offensive Coordinator). Also looking at Kevin Sumlin (Oklahoma recievers coach), Joe DeForest (Oklahoma State Special Teams Coordinator) and Mike Haywood (Notre Dame Offensive Coordinator)

    Nebraska:
    Sources say they picked Bo Pelini as their new guy

    Southern Miss:
    Tyrone Nix (South Carolina Defensive Coordinator) is the front runner. Also looking at Will Muschcamp, and Jimbo Fischer

    SMU:
    Paul Johnson is the frontrunner, Terry Bowden will probably get it if he doesn't

    UCLA:
    Karl Dorrell will get canned. Rick Neuheisel and Steve Mariucci have contacted UCLA for this job. DeWayne Walker (UCLA Defensive Coordinator) and Norm Chow are the frontrunners

    Washington State:
    Mike Price (UTEP Head Coach) wants to come back and be the coach. John L. Smith (Former Louisville and Michigan State Head Coach) as well as Paul Wuff (Eastern Washington) and Ed Orgeron (Former Ole Miss Head Coach)
