NBA Playoffs 2012 - Cheering for OKC actually not guilt free

LeBron is the MVP, but Battier was just on fire in the last two series and he really was a great 2 way player in game 2.

That was a foul, but I hate to put the whole game on one play....the Heat played better in this game....deserved the win and almost let the Thunder come back with some very sloppy play. Good series so far....I want to see at least 6 games...and hopefully it goes to 7.

If Battier is checking Perkins, then he has to take him down low and punish him on the low post...of like you said, he should be playing.

I know EVERYONE seems to overreacts to each game, but Magic and Steven A Smith calling Westbrook's PG play "the worst in Finals History" is a little over the top.

LeBron got him early, then Durant had a little push off with his forearm. I think it's a good no-call.

I missed the first 3 quarters last night, so I don't know what they were doing the first 3. But, in the 4th quarter, the Heat were doing exactly what cost them game 1, and that's not fighting through screens. Stop switching and leaving Bosh 1 on 1 against guys like Westbrook and Harden. That forces guys to help more, and lets guys like Durant get open looks at 3s. Bosh can show while whoever fights through the screen, but that guy needs to fight through that screen. Make guys like Ibaka and Collison beat you by getting the ball while Bosh is trying to get back to them after showing. Don't let Westbrook, Durant and Harden beat you.

Worst in finals history? Anyone see the Glove play for the Heat against Dallas? Frothy...

Westbrook is the Lebron of the west. Durant is the NBA's golden boy. There is no way the Thunder loose and it be anybody, but Westbrook's fault.

    Perk is a -18. Collison is a +21.

I'd actually start Collison ahead of Perkins right now stick Ibaka on Bosh so Collison doesn't get abused down low and stick Collison on Battier.

You don't make that call with 8 seconds left. The team that played better won.

You absolutely make that call. It was a bad missed call. It also wasn't the reason the Thunder lost.

If you want that call made, then it is on the ground with the initial contact. If you're wanting the foul called on the shot, then you need to call the little push off right before the shot.

They were in the bonus, so irrelevant. All that would do is put an extra second on the clock.
  12. cmnelson1987 SRMer

I thought Miami had a foul left to give at that point?
  13. gco211 Moderator

According to ESPN's play by play, they ran out of fouls when Battier fouled at 3:19.
  14. cmnelson1987 SRMer

Well, I believe the announcers said they had a foul to give, which probably means they were 3 fouls in to the penalty already haha
