How come everyone, and I mean everyone, is able to identify and fix the problem with the Lakers on paper or have adequate solutions while the Lakers front office, Jim Buss in particular, sit around with their thumbs up their asses? The Laker have turned into the Bobcats except the Bobcats have more upside. They need to can Mr. Pringles and Jimmy needs to check his ego and call his new brother in law to bail him out.

I wonders if Dr. Buss left anything in his will in regards to his incompetent son and how to get him out of the organization if the Lakers were fucking up?

I got my money on the Mavs. Nets would require a sign and trade....which is still possible.

To be fair, I'd bet either team will require a sign and trade. Howard wants that max contract money, and max doesn't mean the most he can get from the Mavs or Nets in his mind, it's the most he can get from the Lakers.

Back to 500, I have a feeling it won't last long with OKC coming up on Tuesday.

So many questions for the Lakers now.

The NBA is a less fun league tomorrow than it was yesterday.

Kobe is one tough dude. I'm sure he'll see this as his next challenge and be back sooner than most expect him to be.

Part of what makes the Lakers unique is that as long as Kobe plays they're treated as a power team, no matter how badly they might be playing. Going without him is a unique time to watch the Lakers as a true underdog. As a Laker fan and a sports fan, I hate what happened to Kobe and I can't wait to see him back on the court. But the team really is fascinating to watch right now, and I hope people will pull for them if they get into the playoffs.

I am a Kobe fan. There is NO WAY I pull for that team without him. That team is loaded with players I don't like. If they win even a few games in the playoffs, it makes Dwight Howard look good. Yes that Dwight Howard. Kobe is the heart, soul, and everything else of this years Lakers team. It is not his fault that they signed a PG who can't defend anyone's playoff teams. It is not his fault Dwight was hurt and is a prima donna etc, etc, etc. Any wins they get may sound like a good story, but I disagree.

Earlk Clark and Jodie Meeks are good in my book. That said, the Lakers should just amnesty Kobe (which saves a ton of money, and he gets all of his) and trade off Pau and Nash and hope for Andrew Wiggins to be the future of the team...not Dwight....

Who would take Nash and his $10 mil a year deal for two more season? The Lakers are screwed for sticking with Kobe for too long. Maybe they could have moved him prior to this year and gotten value, but now, at best, you amnesty him, are stuck with Nash and Artest, and either rebuild around your primadonna or try to bring in another team's superstar with no prospects around him.

I think Minn could figure out a deal involving Roy (contract that isn't guaranteed) Williams, Barea, Ridnour for Pau and Nash

The Lakers just hope Williams can be a serviceable player. They sign and trade Dwight to a contender for a bunch of picks. (If Nash is = to 3, Dwight has to be 5 somehow). That team will win the lottery, by hook or by crook. They get Andrew Wiggins and save 9 figures in the process.

This is just an idea. Kobe is not a player I'd bet against in any scenario...

I would've bet against him for at least the past two years and would have won a lot.

Barea is a more valuable piece than Nash at half the pay and since Roy's next year isn't guaranteed, they get nothing from this deal. An underproducing player making Pau's money isn't worth anything to the Wolves.

There's always next season, I wanna forget this one as all the injuries and bickering made me hate this team.
