Lions fans might finally get a glimpse of Mikel Leshoure in game action this week.

Leshoure took part in team drills during Sunday's practice, another step toward possibly playing in Saturday's exhibition game in Oakland.

A 2011 second-round draft pick, Leshoure tore his Achilles tendon early in training camp last year and missed the entire season.

A hamstring injury has slowed Leshoure this season.

Leshoure has yet to play for the Lions, a fact he wants to take care of as early as he can.

Especially with a two-game suspension looming to start the regular season because of violating the league's substance-abuse policy.
