Grizzlies forward Rudy Gay received the Kia Community Assist Award for April in recognition of his ongoing support of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
Gay made a personal donation to the hospital, recorded a PSA to raise awareness and funding, and led a group of teammates on a visit to St. Jude's Grizzlies House, where they spent time decorating cookies with patients.
The 6-8 forward recently treated one young patient, Cortavious, and his family to a dream dinner. He also invited the family to a Griz game where Cortavious joined him on court during shoot around.
