With 30 days to go before the trading deadline, Rangers general manager Jon Daniels said the team will take a business-as-usual approach, which means scouts are out looking at the best players that may be available.
Rangers scouts have taken in recent performances by pitchers such as Zack Greinke and Cole Hamels, both of whom may be on the block.
"Our approach doesn't change," Daniels said. "We will be prepared for anything. We're in a different spot than we were a couple of weeks ago. We hope to get all our pitchers back soon, but you never know. You have to be flexible and get prepared. I'm hoping we're not big players at the deadline. Hopefully, we get our guys back, get healthy and stay healthy. That's the biggest thing."
