Stevie Johnson never wanted to go anywhere, but wondered if he had left himself no other choice.

The Buffalo Bills' mercurial wide receiver found himself on the sidelines in last year's season finale at New England, benched after drawing an unsportsmanlike conduct flag for celebrating a touchdown by displaying a "Happy New Year's" message written on his undershirt.

Coach Chan Gailey had laid down the law earlier after Johnson's first such flag following a touchdown celebration against the New York Jets: Any more penalties like that would lead to a spot next to him.
