Clyde Gates joined Brian Hartline on Monday as the Miami Dolphins wide receivers worked through rehabilitating injuries.

Physically, they went through the motions of strengthening their bodies.

Mentally, they massaged their minds listening to play calls while picturing themselves flying through formations.

The competition in training camp intensifies each day as the Dolphins get closer to the mandatory chopping of their roster from 90 players to the NFL maximum 53-man roster.

The wide receiver corps has 12 players in camp. That number will likely be trimmed to five or six with possibly two more added to the practice squad.
