Grizzlies owner Michael Heisley sat courtside Tuesday in Cox Pavilion watching a summer league game with general manager Chris Wallace to his right and coach Lionel Hollins to his left.
The trio looked content.
Earlier this summer before the NBA draft, the Grizzlies' three wise men assessed the team's roster and plotted their offseason strategy at a Chicago-area restaurant. They decided they could afford to allow guard O.J. Mayo to walk without compensation as an unrestricted free agent but needed to pay to keep forwards Darrell Arthur and Marreese Speights.
