The Milwaukee Brewers once again whipped up the worst team in the major leagues, the Houston Astros, by a 13-4 score at Miller Park on Wednesday afternoon.
They racked up 31 runs and 37 hits over three games against a squad so bereft of talent it might have trouble winning consistently at Class AAA. It was the Brewers' first series sweep since the end of May and just their second of the season.
And afterward they were making no apologies for doing so.
"They're still a major-league team," said leftfielder Ryan Braun, who helped lead the assault with two hits, including his National League-leading 29th home run.
