During his rookie season as an NHL coach directing the Panthers to their first playoff berth in a dozen years, Kevin Dineen certainly didn't have time to follow the organization's top prospects and potential future draft picks.
However, last week at Saveology.com Iceplex, Dineen took a break from his summer vacation to sneak a peak at about 35 prospects, including their recent first-round draft pick defenseman Mike Matheson. And he didn't need a numerical roster to pick out the flashy teenager, the 23rd overall pick, who grew up on a farm outside of Montreal in Pointe Claire.
