The New Jersey Devils today signed forward Bobby Butler to a two-way contract. The announcement was made by Devils' President/CEO/General Manager Lou Lamoriello. As per club policy, no further terms were disclosed.
Butler joins the Devils after spending the past two seasons with the Senators' organization. In 2011-12, he recorded six goals and ten assists for 16 points and 12 penalty minutes in 56 regular-season appearances, while also playing in three playoff contests. The 6-0, 185-lb. forward has career totals of 16 goals and 21 assists for 37 points and 22 penalty minutes in 94 games played. Butler split the 2010-11 campaign between Ottawa and Binghamton (AHL). He played in all 23 games for the AHL Senators en-route to their 2011 Calder Cup Championship.
