Standing on a stage situated a few yards from the visitors' sideline inside Lambeau Field, Green Bay Packers President Mark Murphy painted a pretty gaudy financial picture to the approximately 12,500 shareholders who showed up for the team's annual meeting Tuesday.
The Packers pulled in $302 million in revenue during the fiscal year that ended March 31.
They made a net profit of $42.7 million.
They now have $239 million in a reserve fund, much of it tied up in investments but there to back it all up.
Yes, the Packers are rich.
What Murphy didn't say exactly was how he intended to use that money.
