Maybe the Chargers should trade with the Seahawks more often.
The last one worked out well enough.
Two years after shipping third-string quarterback Charlie Whitehurst to Seattle for a pair of draft picks, the team reunited with the veteran free agent on Friday, agreeing to a two-year contract.
In the Whitehurst deal, the Chargers switched second-round picks in 2010 with the Seahawks — a 20-spot upgrade — and received the Seahawks' third-round pick in 2011.
The second-rounder was a key part of the draft-day trade to move up in the first round and select running back Ryan Mathews. The 2011 third-rounder was used on cornerback Shareece Wright.
