    Yeah, this might kick ass.

I guess this is the game that was rumored to be the Vietnam game.

Looks good, especially if they bring vehicles back and don't remove them due to pointless bitching in the hardcore game modes. However, if the rumored server fee is being charged, you can forget me playing Call of Duty anymore, as much as I like the game.
  4. dolfan2004 SRMer

Looks good... but as far as war games go, especially Online, it will take alot to top Battlefield: Bad Company 2... that game is downright awesome.
  5. RONINVIPER SRMer

I reserved it today and traded in my Battlefield 2: Bad Company game and received $34.00 back for it. I was surprised but playing Modern Warfare 2 on the 360 and Red Dead Redemption on the PS3 has left me to get rid of the Battlefield game. That was a nice game, just no time to really get into it. Black Ops looks really good and should be better than MW2.......hopefully.
  6. dolfan2004 SRMer

Red Dead will do that... I am not a big time video game player... but I had to get that game out of my house literately, it is that addicting... the majority of the time, I was just doing bounty missions and killing animals.
  7. RONINVIPER SRMer

Game is so addicting, I love messing with the Mexican Rebeldes in free roam. If you save the whores in the fort with the Rebeldes, it is hilarious. Problem is, when I try to pick a whore up, nothing happens.........as I want to get rewarded :). And when you play the missions, he says he is married, I am like this guy is too straight all around. Just wished for more action with the women.........but I know, due to the kids........that will not happen.
  8. dolfan2004 SRMer

I never even met Irish to go to Mexico... I keep meaning to, but something pops on the radar, or I'll be riding and see a wild horse I like better than my current one, and catch it and break it in, or just see some dear or Armadillo, or some shit, and hop off, and just go on a rampage (you gotta see my collection of dead animal skins and parts... lol... i'll post a pic when I get my game back)... It is probably my favorite game to date. because unlike any game i played, I don't find my self almost rushing through objectives, making the game short... I haven't even got to multi player yet, that is how much I am enjoying 1 player... but it got to be a problem... after my longest span (14 hours), I literately contemplated calling out of work to play.

LOL, I concur with you as this game is amazing. I am just amazed at the graphics of the terrain and horses. When you turn your horse, it looks like the real thing. I know Grand Theft Auto was a decent game, but Rockstar had made something.......a Western more enjoyable than the same games we are used to. I have fun just shooting people, drawing my gun and scaring the crap out of people. I have to learn how to play horseshoe, as my wife says that I am crazy for playing this game. My little four year old wants to play, as I have to turn it off when he around me because of when I shoot the guys, could be a headshot, but a lot of blood shows on the walls. Pretty realistic game to date next to MLB 10 Show on the PS3. Now that I have more time to mess with video games and talk about sports on the forums, I usually play Modern Warfare 2 on the Xbox 360. COD Black Ops will be sweet from what I have read.
  10. mesahotguy5 SRMer

Black Ops is going to suck because its done by Treyarch.
  11. gribbzz SRMer

I agree, I can't imagine it being better than MW2 because it isn't done by the same people who did MW2. It is done by the same people who did call of duty 3 if I recall correctly and that game wasn't very good.
  12. mesahotguy5 SRMer

Yes COD 3 and World @ War. Both games pale in comparison to COD 2, MW1, & MW2.

I had prestiged about 4 or 5 times on MW1, played W@W up to level 38 my 1st time through and went back to MW1.

For the second straight COD game an Eminem song was chosen for the trailer.

So what does everybody think about this game? I like it with the exception of Second Chance Pro. This is what I do when I see that a teammate of mine needs to be revived.

It's fun but the maps are awful IMO (especially that fucking Nuketown everyone votes to play 30 times in a row)

Nice video - made me lol
  16. Nowayout10 SRMer

I am not fond of the maps either. Why would Treyarch allow people to vote for the previous map? Nuketown as you said is the worst for this and firing range is right behind. Once I see those two maps I automatically back out after the match is done.

I swore to myself I was done with COD and definitely games done by Treyarch. But I still gave in and bought it. Haven't played the single player at all yet. Multiplayer is all right I think. I think they did a nice job making a little more balanced, no overpowering weapons or perks, and the noob tube isn't nearly as bad in this one. But I've just got a little tired with the COD multiplayer I guess.

Love zombies, though. Can't get enough of that. That's the main reason I bought the game, just because zombies looked so good. And it hasn't disappointed one bit.
  18. RONINVIPER SRMer

Good game, not the best out of the Call of Duty series, but pretty good. I hate the small maps because of all the camping..........hardcore. I try to play core and people taking a whole clip is annoying. Always going to be complaints with hardcore and core, but I rather shoot someone and they drop immediately.......if that happens at all. I did not purchase it for the PS3, and I have returned to the XBOX 360...
  19. RONINVIPER SRMer

The servers in online play are beginning to be terrible. I went back to Modern Warfare 2 to see if my connection or router were slowing me down; no problems on Modern Warfare 2. I went back to COD Black Ops and the connection was crappy. Some of the guys in my party explained that it was the Treyarch servers. I just wonder if anyone else has high speed internet and experience some of the problems online in multiplayer.

I read they sent out a patch today, maybe that has something to do with it. I'm sure it'll be good to go most likely by tomorrow.

What is wrong with Nuketown? & Firing Range? Those are my favorite two maps in this game. I love Nuketown because people cant just camp to get kills, I have only heard people not liking this map because they are a camper, and they cant camp on this map.
  22. Nowayout10 SRMer

I love firing range as well but that post was before the patch that eliminated the ability for people to continue to vote the previous map over and over again. I couldn't stand playing the same map more than twice.

I really don't mind Nuketown. I am a rusher but I do better on larger maps. Flak Jacket is a must on that map.
  23. S2000ManiaC Moderator

    you can camp in nuketown.

i was playing domination last night. camped the opposite spawn and ended up 54-7.

the reason i dont like nuketown is b/c its semtex central / random rpgs. and then 1 napalm strike across the middle takes out the whole thign for a bit.
  24. Nowayout10 SRMer

Rolling Thunder, Chopper Gunner and Dogs. Get all three one time during a domination match on Nuketown and you guarentee yourself 50+ kills.
  25. S2000ManiaC Moderator

kinda hard to get dogs / chopper gunner since they are both 11 kill streaks unless you get lucky w/ a carepackage.
  26. KMoney Administrator

I don't like the way the campaign is setup. Not saying I don't like the actual story, but there are wayyyy too many breaks and short gameplays.

Online I don't mind, I'm not impressed either.

The main problem I have with online is spawn killing. I literally was killed in one match 15 times in about 20 seconds. Someone was just camping there and then the helicopter came and did the same damn thing haha.

I haven't played halo reach online yet, I got them both for Christmas and just decided to start with call of duty since the games are different and rather concentrate on one, rather than getting destroyed playing both. Anyone like one over the other?
  27. Nowayout10 SRMer

Chopper Gunner as in 9 kill streak, not the gunship.
  28. Nowayout10 SRMer

I am not good at Halo but that game does a much better job with matchmaking. I find myself playing with people of similar rank and skill. The Halo campaign was great as well.
  29. KMoney Administrator

From what I hear/read Halo is better. All gaming sites shows all say Halo is better. But, when it comes to fan voting most people say call of duty is better, online at least. I think that's just because people are so loyal to that game. And the fact that they are smart (Yet I hate it) and they come out with a new game every November keeps the interest fresh.
  30. Nowayout10 SRMer

Yeah, a new game every year has really benefited COD. If only Treyarch and Infinity Ward could make the game together. Let IW create the maps, guns and feel of the game. Treyarch would test it out for balance issues and maintain the game online wise.

Modern Warfare 3 from what I hear is scheduled to release in November. I just hope they release a beta like Halo so problems can be fixed before release.

I have also heard rumors of monthly fees for Call of Duty dedicated servers. This would eliminate lag and connection issues. Don't know if I could justify paying a fee considering how much money the COD series has made.
