One of the challenges facing the Milwaukee Bucks coaching staff this week in the Las Vegas Summer League will be finding a way to divide the playing time among a full roster of players.

Especially when a top priority will be to get plenty of action for returning players Larry Sanders and Tobias Harris, along with first-round draft choice John Henson and second-round pick Doron Lamb.

Bucks assistant Jim Boylan, who will be the game coach, indicated that has a way of playing itself out.

"Every game there will be a couple guys who won't play," said Boylan. "We'll try to be fair when we can, but we're out there to try and accomplish something and that's to get our young guys and our draft picks playing minutes out there. They're our first priority.

"Then for the other guys, they're on an NBA roster in the summer league and it's a chance for them to get a little exposure. We'll do the best we can to try and get them out there so they can show what they can do.

"Usually, during the course of the summer league, it kind of works itself out."

Boylan said the Bucks probably would take 13 players to Las Vegas.

"What happens is a couple guys drop out or there may be an injury so it's nice to have enough guys," said Boylan. "So that when that does happen, you can slide another guy right in there and you don't have to go out and sign a new guy and try to get him up to speed. It's good to bring the extra guys."
