Perhaps this edition of the Blue Jays — at least in this city, in this ballpark — could be called Farrell's Wallbangers, inspired by the 1982 Brewers.
They can sure deliver the longball.
On Tuesday at Miller Park, facing Canadian closer John Axford in the ninth, Colby Rasmus and Jose Bautista went back-to-back for the second time in the game, giving the Jays a 10-9 victory. Axford became a father for the second time earlier in the day.
"I think that's just the fight that we have in us," Rasmus said of his team's dramatic victory. "Since spring training, we just tried to keep going and not let anything beat us down."
