Maybe not so much him, Demetress Bell, but the position he is assuming. Left tackle.
And the player is taking over for. Jason Peters.
Peters was a great left tackle. Perhaps even building a Hall of Fame career, with his five consecutive Pro Bowl appearances and four All-Pro selections.
The construction of his Hall of Fame resume ceased the minute he tore his Achilles in March then again just weeks later following the initial surgery to repair it. The halting of Peters' credential-building could be temporary or it could be forever. There is no telling how he will recover.
