Once more, family rules. And rules out the Devils.
Less than a week after Zach Parise cited his fiancée and parents among his reasons for leaving the Devils as captain and signing with Minnesota, Hall of Famer Larry Robinson traded his assistant coach position with New Jersey for an associate coach's spot in San Jose.
Robinson told reporters that his move was made to allow his wife to be closer to their daughter and twin grandchildren in Los Angeles, which is about 350 miles away from San Jose.
