Bronson Arroyo was pitching well Monday night.

But the way the Reds were swinging the bats, he was headed toward a no-decision. That is until Arroyo took matters into his own hands. Arroyo ended an eight-pitch at-bat in the sixth with a home run.

That was the margin of victory in the Reds' 3-2 win over the Arizona Diamondbacks before a crowd of 17,966 at Chase Field.

Arroyo's a decent hitter. He felt himself honing in as the at-bat went on against rookie left-hander Tyler Skaggs.
