The acquisition of IF Ryan Roberts at the end of July is looking better and better for the Tampa Bay Rays.
Roberts was acquired from the Arizona Diamondbacks for minor-leaguer Tyler Bortnick, and manager Joe Maddon likes several things Roberts brings to the club.
"He's very versatile on defense," Maddon said. "He can play second, third, short ...he can even play left field."
Roberts doesn't care where he plays, as long as he is on the diamond.
