    Color-coding to make easier to read
    Green = Football
    Red = Baseball
    Blue = Soccer
    Orange = Basketball
    Black = Everything else

    Football is king. All 32 teams are in the top 50. To me that is what makes the NFL the most successful league in the world.

    What is 'McLaren'... NASCAR?

    J-Pass, awesome job color coding it. Really useful when using this type of info.

    I hate this this list, however, as I think Forbes' numbers are just awfully crafted.

    isn't an item worth what it sells for?

    F1. Maybe some NASCAR too, IDK.

    How do they come up with the values? I understand the Redskins have a good franchise but how are they right below the cowboys and above the patriots?

    It is lists like this why I was on the players side during the lockout. These owners make a ridiculous amount of money on the backs of the players.

    I would be very interested to see what these were based upon as well. I feel like this could be an accurate list of jersey sales.
  11. Its basically the sale value of the team. It includes a lot of factors including assets (stadium, parking lots, practice facitlities), sales (jerseys, tickets, etc), ad revenue, as well as other things. Winning doesn't have to do a lot with it, although it does help.

    The Phillies will go up a lot in value once the get their new TV deal, expectedly to about $1 billion or more, which would project them in the top 25 (from their current spot at 48).

    I think if the Eagles won a superbowl they would rise in value as well, although not nearly as much.

    Fedex Field is much larger than Gillette and has many more luxury boxes and club seats. Other than Jerryworld, it's the most valuable stadium in the league.
