Im looking at buying either a computer or a new TV.
Currently I have no computer at home, and I have a 37'' LG LCD TV. It would be nice to buy a new tv...about a 55'' LG LCD. So I can move the smaller TV back into our room. However I was looking at getting a MacBook and Best Buy has those on sale on Black Friday for $999 but you get $150 gift card with it as well. What would you guys do?
And by that venom you mean you get what you pay for. A computer that is a lot less likely of having OS or hardware problems. Works for me!
I got my macbook last year 2 months before they dropped, ended up paying 1600 total...I would pay even more than that for it because it is just that good. I would never pay anything more than 300 or 400 for a PC as it would already be running windows which in itself is garbage.

Go with the computer, you have a TV. Next time upgrade the TV. Just sit closer to the TV and it will be all good, lol

I've NEVER had a problem with my Dell XPS gaming rig that I've had for a couple of years now. Windows 7 is a dream on it and love the fact that I can upgrade it with ease and not have to take out a loan to do so. Hello Newegg.com!

Sure, I have had PCs I haven't had problems with as well but doesn't change the fact that they still have a much higher chance of messing up. there is a much higher number of PCs going in for service than there are macs and not because of macs not selling that much, because they are better machines.
It is easy to get angry at macs cause of the price tag, but the really are better machines. I haven't had a single problem with my desk top in the 4 years i have owned it.

According to the circular, other early bird deals on Black Friday include a 32-inch Emerson LCD 720p HDTV for $248, and a 42-inch Emerson Plasma 720p HDTV ($448).
One of the juiciest Black Friday deals from Wal-Mart's rival Target (TGT, Fortune 500) reportedly is a 32-inch Westinghouse LCD HDTV for $246.
In the computer section, Wal-Mart's deals in the leaked circular include an eMachine laptop with a 15.6-inch LCD display, 2GB memory and 160GB hard drive for $198; a Hewlett-Packard laptop with a 15.6-inch display, 3GB memory and 250GB hard drive for $298; a Philips 4GB MP3/video player for $29; and an Xbox 360 console with three games for $199.
Other deals in electronics and appliances in Wal-Mart's Black Friday ad include an 8GB iPod Touch for $195 with a $50 iTunes gift card; $4 home appliances including a slow cooker and mini-mixer, $2 DVDs, and select toys priced between $5 and $9.
Sure I can, I'm a PC Gamer therefor Macs have a TON more problems than a PC for someone like me.
We aren't talking about compatibility problems for uber cool gamers. We are talking about problems when things go wrong with your computer for no other reason than it is an inferior product and an inferior OS.

Again, not a problem for me. As a matter of fact, I end up helping my mother-in-law with her Macs more than I do my PC and any other family members PC. This is not an argument you can win, this is my opinion and experience.

Its not an argument really. It is a fact that PCs have more problems than Macs...whether you like them or not doesn't bother me.
Any time someone says "in my experience" or uses that in their argument it is usually pretty biased.
