Palin is leaving because she is making too much money making appearances and in book deals. She feels her popularity can help her in the future. I don't doubt she will be in the business area as a Executive Officer of some sort, but I don't think she will be a front runner for the Republicans. Some Reps believe Jeb Bush will be the front-runner for 2010. He did a great job in Florida (of course it doesn't hurt your brother was the Prez at the time). She'll be forgotten by the time 2012 comes around. I don't see Obama repeating.

To me, this is just a ploy she's doing to look like she's not corrupted by the government system. She's banking on that when she runs in 2012, she'll look like a cuddlier Republican than what the public currently views the GOP of being.

I cannot imagine that Obama and the Dems could fuck up enough to where the nation would turn to Sarah Palin to lead us out of the abyss. I actually hope she does try to run. All she'll do is drag down the rest of the possible presumptives. I'd love to see Palin and Huckabee throw their hats back into the ring in 2012.
If the Republicans can't offer someone with better ideas, the best thing they can do is get runover fast, so the election doesn't drag on running the country.
