Default Dhb......

So Raider fans are you happy with this pick??? Looking at the rest of the rookies DHB looks like a very very poor choice.

DHB 6 catches 96 yards compared to.....
Crabtree- 18 catches 215 yards in 4 games
harvin- 31 catches 422 yards and 3td's
Maclin- 31 catches 413 yards 4 td's
Nicks-23 catches 407 yards 4td's
Britt-22 catches 351 yards
Massaquoi- 20 catches 358 yards
wallace- 26 catches 453 yards

The question is simple what was the last positive move made by A Davis and his Raider lackeys?

Boy was I wrong about DHB, I thought he was going to be pretty good, maybe he would have been if he didnt go to the raiders.

Don't forget, his QB is J-Russ. Not saying those number are going to be much better with another QB, but I can see some sort of improvement.

Why ask this question? Every single one of us knew he was going to be a bust when he went to Oakland. He is Troy Williamson Part 2.

I agree. You put this guy on the Saints and at worst his numbers double.

Russell stat update

Last game - 8 of 23 for 64 yards yielding a 43.6 QB rating.

I feel bad for him. Its not his fault he has an awful QB. He is hardworking, has good character and is a team player. We desperately need a deep threat like DHB on the Ravens. We'll give you a 4th round pick for him.

Best comparison, and they still lose...

DHB... 6 catches, 96 yards, 0 TDs

Brian Hartline... 12 catches, 192 yards, 1 TD... Miami's 4th round reciever, who the experts say we took too high is out playing him.

Ted Ginn is a good charactered, hard working team player... but that doesn't make him worthy of the #9 pick and that and speed doesn't make him a #1 WR... yes his QB play isn't good, but watch the highlights of the KC game, the guy can not catch the ball... he dropped 2 passes, that could have changed the outcome of that game... guess it is for the best though, they are playing for a higher pick at this point.

No, no, no! You need to see the footage, fellow SRMers. The pass he dropped to lose the game was not from JRuss but by a competent backup Bruce Gratowski (sp?), former Buc, who was moving the ball until he threw to DHB, who not only bricked the pass, but knocked it in the air to be INTed to lose the game. True, numbers would be somewhat better than what they are with Bruce and no JRuss, but trust me, this DHB is SUCKASS all the way. Like Limas Sweed but no size either. Watch the end...

Johnny Knox is a 5th round pick, with 30 catches almost 400 yards and 3 td's. Boy did they miss on DHB, though.

1) Jamarcus Russell is the worst QB I have seen, but he is not to blame for DHB. DHB simply cannot catch or run good routes. His speed is a complete waste and he is not the insane quick burner that everyone thinks. It takes him awhile to get it going, but this is what happens when you just pick players off 40 times.

2) As for what us Raider fans think, well simply look at our reactions in the Raider thread when we drafted him. Everyone knew it was a terrible pick and he was going to be another bust. If the Raiders did not make bad decisions, they would not make any decisions at all. We have essentially gotten nothing out of our drafts since we started this new run of futility.

Until Al dies, we are irrelevant.

Wow now that sums the Raiders whole situation up perfectly! Very well stated. Please don't take this as Raider bashing...just commenting on what you have said.

So the question I pose to you is: What do you guys do to improve apart from Al Davis dying? Do you slowly improve through the draft? Sign a few starting vetrans....and my god where do you start? Try for the franchise QB again...another WR (just avoid the Lions syndrome). My last question is just wondering what you think of your RB's? Run DMC ever going to stay healthy?

This thread is mean, why pour lemon on the already huge cut. Regardless, you can't completely blame him for his numbers. Fitzgerald and Andre Johnson would have like 10 catches with Jamarcus Russell as their QB (Over exaggerating)
