Not really. He grabbed it, slowing Peterson, then hit the ball out. Yeah he didn't tackle him until after the ball was out, but if he doesn't grab him first he probably doesn't make that play.

Wow. today is the epitome of the trap game come true. I wonder if Roy Williams will complain about how Romo has thrown him the ball anymore?
Pack the gear boys and lets get ready for the Redskins...

Westbrook left the game with another concussion. That's probably it for him. Sad ending to a really good career.

He flat out grabbed the collar from behind, and then punched the ball out. Plus he continued to take him down to the turf. Horrible miscall there.

Sounds ridiculous but I think the Vikings aren't relying enough on Peterson. It's been cute with all the Favre stats but it's bound to backfire in their face if they don't keep their identity as a run-first team.

AP really hasn't had the amount of touches he should be getting week in and week out. With how they can run the ball, most of these games wouldn't even be close.

I agree, but at the same time we've reached 8-1 without running him into the ground. Come playoff time I do believe we are going to have to lean on him more and Favre less though.

Basically. The only other play he had would have been to dive at his feet to trip him up which wouldn't have resulted in a fumble. So yeah, if owning a guy means horse collaring him then yea sure Buchanon owned Peterson.

Well with a crap thursday game and a crap monday night game coming up its good to see a good Sunday night game. Both teams have had their ups and downs but it has been a good game so far. Even better for me but if this were two other teams I would be saying the same thing.

The fact that the winner of this game leads the decade in wins is a cool story line. They will both eclipse the record of the 49ers in the 90s. Hopefully its the patriots who end the season with the most but it is unlikely.

I didn't agree with the decision by Belichick to go for it on 4th and 2 but I honestly don't think we win whether we went for it or punted. The way they were driving in the 4th quarter we weren't stopping them.

What a great game to watch and if I weren't a fan of the losing team I would have had a lot of fun toward the end.

Oh well. The only thing this means is we essentially don't have a shot at Home Field throughout but it wasn't expected. getting to 12-4 would be a great success this year. Next weeks game means a hell of a lot more than this weeks, thats for sure.

I think that will have some lingering effects on the defense. Bill basically told them, I don't trust you to stop them from going 70 yards in 2 minutes with no timeouts. In the end we still had no time to do anything.

Fourth and inches, I'm cool with going for it. Because it will probably be a sneak and almost always guaranteed, but fourth and 2 with our smallest back on the team, you kick it.

Just to clarify, it's legal to grab the collar from behind. It's also legal to grab the shoulder pads from behind and punch the ball out. It's not a horse collar unless the player is dragged down from behind, utilizing the back of the jersey's collar or back of the shoulder pads to do it.

Sounds like a missed call though; however, it might not be illegal if the ball is punched out before being dragged down, as it's not technically a tackle at that point. I don't know all the details.
