1. (1) Colts (8-0)
Bob Sanders is done for the season, why is this such big news? He plays about 5 games a season, they’re good without him. Everyone is anticipating the Colts Patriots game, and so am I.
2. (2) Saints (8-0)
This team is simply incredible. They’ve gotten bored with whooping peoples asses so bad that the past couple of games they’ve decided to tease their opponent and let them have a lead for a while and then stuck it in them laughing.
3. (3) Steelers (6-2)
Any doubters about the champs? I think most people deep down think this is the best team in the league. I’m not there yet, but they are playing great. I’d love to see the Colts face these guys.
4. (4) Vikings (7-1)
Nice bye week off and now they have another bye week. This should be a nice game to get rolling again. Let’s see if Brad Childress can continue his push for, yes hold your breath Vikings fans, coach of the year.
5. (5) Patriots (6-2)
Is there any question that this team is running away with the division? This is not the type of team you want to be chasing. Moss and Brady and really beginning to heat up and as we’ve seen, when these guys are at their best, it’s arguably one of the best combos of all time.
6. (7) Bengals (6-2)
This team is for real. I don’t like the Cedric Benson MVP talk, but he is definitely a pro bowler. If they win this week at Pittsburgh all doubters will simply need to shhh.
7. (9) Cowboys (6-2)
This team is as hot as any team in the league. After looking poor through their first 4 they are now contenders for sure. And they did it on the defensive end after the offense had a poor game. That should make Dallas fans smile since defense has been anything but good over the past few years.
8. (6) Broncos (6-2)
This team is finally falling apart. I think they’re probably better than I give them credit for, but I think they lose the division still. Sorry Denver just haven’t been too sold all season.
9. (8) Eagles (5-3)
Run the ball, when your full back is successfully running that’s a good sign about your running game. Maybe the sign isn’t clear enough to Marty and Andy. The defense played their asses off again and have been great all year long and battled through all of those continuing injuries. They have an extremely difficult schedule ahead of them and they’ll need to finally be consistent for the rest of the year if they hope to make the playoffs.
10. (12) Falcons (5-3)
Michael Turner finally had a monster game. It took a lot longer than we all expected, but it came at a great time
11. (15) Cardinals (5-3)
This is the most inconsistent team this year. At least top 3 in inconsistency. But when they’re good, they’re real good.
12. (16) Chargers (5-3)
Watch out Denver I guess this team isn’t as overrated as not only I, but almost everyone thought. We all knew they had the talent, so when they put it together well they’re tough.
13. (10) Ravens (4-4)
What a falloff this team has had. After being in the top three in most power rankings this team has fallen fast. Down 2 games to both the steelers and the Bengals and losing 3 combined games to those 2 has put this team in a big hole. At least they have the browns this week that’s always a nice game to get back on track.
14. (11) Giants (5-4)
These team losses are beginning to snowball. 4 losses in a row is a bad sign for a team who I wasn’t that high on to begin the year. A lot of people think they’ll bounce back, I think they miss the playoffs.
15. (13) Texans (5-4)
They’ll be on their bye week which is good for Andre Johnson to recover from his injury. Anyone else notice Ryan Moats playing great as of late? They are in a good spot even after a loss and can probably get a wild card.
16. (14) Bears (4-4)
They are in a must win this Thursday night on the road. Let’s see if the defense can step up, because they’ve been pretty bad lately. Cutler and Hester have been pretty solid, but it hasn’t been enough.
17. (17) Packers (4-4)
That was embarrassing, be honest packers fans, you punched yourself in the face after that loss. That defense was suspect to a rookie QB in his first game on what was the worst team in the league. Down 3 games to the Vikings and already losing to them twice puts the packers in quicksand, and after that loss, they’re sinking fast.
18. (18) Dolphins (3-5)
That loss pretty much ended their season. It’s a shame too they are a good team and we all know it. It just isn’t their year. They still have a shot, but it’s a long shot to nab a wild card spot.
19. (19) Panthers (3-5)
Here come the panthers, well that’s what I was saying the past couple weeks into halfway into their blown game against the saints. That would’ve been a huge win and probably would’ve meant a playoff spot IMO. Now that blown lead deflated this team and their hopes. At least they learned to run the ball and it is paying off offensively.
20. (20) Jets (4-4)
I’m still not too high on the jets. I don’t think they can win the division nor make the playoffs. The defense hasn’t been what it was to start the year and the offense hasn’t improved too much even with Edwards.
21. (21) 49ers (3-5)
Has everyone finally jumped off this team’s short lived bandwagon? This team is not good and I think they’ll lose to the bears this upcoming weekend as well. 4 straight losses ended this teams season. At least Vernon Davis is playing the way he was drafted to play. Good sign for the future when they get a real QB.
22. (22) Jaguars (4-4)
There isn’t much to say about this team. We all know they won’t make the playoffs and we know they won’t be awful and get a top pick. To be honest this is a pretty boring year with a pretty bland year.
23. (23) Seahawks (3-5)
Congratulations you beat the lions. At least the defense looked good forcing Stafford into 5 interceptions. This team really disappointed me this year. In such a bad division they should be better.
24. (26) Titans (2-6)
All aboard the Vince Young band wagon again. No reason he shouldn’t of been the starter we know he’s got talent, who cares that he went nuts. That was ea sports fault for putting his ass of the cover. Not saying he’s a stud, but at least he’s not a drunk.
25. (24) Bills (3-5)
Trent Edwards will be back under center. Maybe they can trade T.O. and get better on and off the field.
26. (25) Redskins (2-6)
This season really can’t get any worse for them. They’re done and now all they can hope for is a top 5 pick. Sad really, they have the highest payroll and a lot of talent.
27. (27) Raiders (2-6)
They’ll be playing this week’s episode of the NFLs “Biggest Loser”. I do see them winning since they’re home, but it won’t be pretty.
28. (28) Chiefs (1-7)
This team is in trouble, they wanted to be considered in a rebuilding stage, yet their main pieces are nothing. Matt Cassell is never going to be a star in KC and now Larry Johnson is gone.
29. (32) Buccaneers (1-7)
Like I said, it’s Josh Freeman time. At least Bucs fans have something to look forward to in the future. It’s not like they’re the rams and beat a terrible team either, they beat a pretty good team in the packers.
30. (31) Lions (1-7)
No matter how many more loses they get, they’ll still be better than last year.
31. (30) Browns (1-7)
What poor rookie QB has to put on a browns uniform next season?
32. (29) Rams (1-7)
Hey, at least the bucs won and now the rams are tied for the # 1 pick race. Now they’ll get mauled by the saints to help their only realistic goal.
