Rep Power: 12 | | | KMoney's NFL Power Ranks Week 8 [Power Ranks Weeks 1-3] KMoney's NFL Power Rankings KMoney's NFL Power Rankings Week 4 KMoney NFL Power Rankings Week 5 KMoney NFL Power Rankings Week 6 KMoney's NFL Power Ranks Week 7 KMoney's NFL Power Ranks Week 8 1. (1) Colts (6-0)
The best team in the league beat the worst team in the league. They should win next week pretty easily against the 49ers, but they 5 of their next 6 game should be challenging against the Texans twice, patriots, ravens and Broncos. They happen to win all of those games they’ll go 16-0. 2. (2) Saints (6-0)
Drew Brees had a terrible game, yet still came away with 3 touchdowns (2 rushing). Darren Sharper is having his best year in a long time. They really showed what type of team they are being down 21 points and coming back to win by 12. 3. (4) Broncos (6-0)
Coming off a bye they’ll have two huge challenges from a Ravens team who is coming off their 3rd straight loss almost in desperation mode for a win followed by the steelers who are one of the hotter teams in the league. 4. (8) Steelers (5-2)
There is no denying Polamalu’s importance to this teams success. The defense won the game for them no question and look like that #1 defense from last year. 5. (3) Vikings (6-1)
That was a tough loss against a great team on the road. Adrian Peterson once again embarrassed an attempted tackler. A missed catch by Chester Taylor ended the drive which could’ve won or at least tied the game. I don’t care how well Favre is playing this year; they are throwing way too much when they have Adrian Peterson. Arguably the most anticipated game of the year coming up as they head to GB where we will never hear the end during the next couple weeks. 6. (7) Patriots (5-2)
England saw why New England is better than any 22 men in England could ever be. The patriots should be fully rested come 2 weeks from now after having 3 bye weeks; yes I’m counting the titans and bucs as byes. 7. (9) Bengals (5-2)
Cedric Benson showed the bears that they’re doing something wrong, that he can be considered a bust and now is a top RB in 2009. Carson Palmer is still the stud he was and expected to be a couple years ago. 8. (6) Giants (5-2)
2 straight losses and very poor performances by Eli Manning is a bad sign heading into this weekend playing for first place in the division. 9. (11) Eagles (4-2)
The defense looks great, the offense not so much. Besides two big plays by DeSean Jackson the offense was manhandled by the redskins defense. They’ll need Westbrook to be healthy as he usually kills the giants, if not they could be in trouble offensively. 10. (13) Cardinals (4-2)
They are beginning to look like the NFC champions of last year. It’s the defense stepping up rather than the offense, which is a great sign since we all know the offense will eventually begin to dominate. 11. (19) Cowboys (4-2)
Miles Austin for most improved? No wait, Pro bowler? Who would’ve ever imagined this 3rd round pick out of Monmouth, a small school in NJ, would be the cowboys best wide receiver since Michael Irvin. 12. (10) Ravens (3-3)
After 3 straight losses, they’ll come off a bye and face the broncos. It’s crazy to think that this is a must win for the Ravens, otherwise they’ll fall a couple games behind the hot steelers. 13. (5) Falcons (4-2)
That was a disappointing loss. They started out the game looking great, and then looked like the team of two years ago. Michael Turner and Tony Gonzalez have got to get things going. 14. (14) Packers (4-2)
That was a massacre, now they have Brett coming back into town in a big divisional game. A win and they’ll be tied for first place with the Vikings facing a very tough schedule. 15. (16) Jets (4-3)
Boy, that Marc Sanchez sure is a hot dog. Although the faces the terrible Raiders offense the defense played the way they did to begin the season. 16. (17) Texans (4-3)
Andre Johnson got hurt, which will be a huge loss if he doesn’t play. They had a big lead and nearly blew it which isn’t a good sign. The defense was ripped apart by Alex Smith, which should be a sign that the defense needs more practice. 17. (12) Bears (3-3)
Jay Cuter has been throwing to the wrong team too much lately. They can’t seem to get it done on the road. 18. (20) Chargers (3-3)
They just had an easy win and should be running into another easy win. Even with a schedule remaining against the Raiders, Chiefs, Browns, Titans and Redskins, this team will still miss the playoffs. 19. (15) 49ers (3-3)
Alex Smith looked the player he was drafted to be. Either he being benched so long helped him out to get better, or the Texans secondary just didn’t care. Regardless he’ll be under center next week looking towards the other supposed to be franchise player in Michael Crabtree who had a decent first game. 20. (18) Dolphins (2-4)
So far that was the choke job of the year. They looked phenomenal early in the game with a 21 point lead. Then they blew it and lost by 12. Chad Henne is not the future, just run the ball Miami, run. 21. (21) Jaguars (3-3)
They come off a bye and face the titans, should be an easy win, but I’m sure the titans will play their asses off for their first win and for Kerry Collins he’ll be playing for his job.
22. (22) Seahawks (2-4)
Such a disappointing season again, so far plagued by injuries. They’ll need to get healthy and hot fast if they want to keep up with Arizona.
23. (24) Bills (3-4)
They’ve won 2 straight games to keep their hopes for a playoff run alive, but it won’t happen, this team just doesn’t have it. 24. (23) Panthers (2-4)
Run the ball, why throw the ball 44 times with a quarterback that has 13 interceptions and a top 5 running game, yet they never run. Jake has got to go, bring in anyone, go get Jeff Garcia. Jeff Garcia can do what this team needs. 25. (26) Redskins (2-5)
The defense is a great defense, the offense is like a pee wee football team who doesn’t use a play book. I was wrong about Campbell, I thought he was a solid qb, now he looks like he doesn’t even want to play. I guess all that trade talk got to him. 26. (25) Raiders (2-5)
I don’t know what this team can do for quarterback. Russell sucks, and the backup celebrates like they won the superbowl after a 10 yard run being down 20+ points. 27. (27) Chiefs (1-6)
Trade Larry Johnson and continue to rebuild, and start with the defense. 28. (29) Titans (0-6)
Kerry Collins will be playing for his job with Vince Young talks beginning to swirl. I could see an upset coming. 29. (30) Lions (1-5)
This team has no shot of the playoffs, let Stafford sit until he’s fully healthy. I think Culpepper can help beat the Rams, if not, well who cares, now you have a better shot at a second straight #1 pick. 30. (28) Browns (1-6)
At this point if I’m Mangini, Josh Cribbs is my starting QB. 31. (31) Buccaneers (0-7)
Bring in Josh Freeman, let him get a little experience. There’s nothing to lose, they won’t get 3 wins. At least Talib is a stud for the future. 32. (32) Rams (0-7)
This may be the last chance they have for a win. Playing last years 0-16 team could help their reputation by helping another team go 0-16 the very next year.

Below the rams and bucs?! They are terrible on offense but the defense is actually pretty good. They do have 2 wins. Just need a new QB and they'll be a tad better.

Rep Power: 25 | | Talib plays for TB not Stl.
Also, I think TB has already made the move to Johnson too quickly, let alone Freeman. Leftwich was playing fine, then he had 1 bad game against NY and was out. Neither Johnson nor Freeman are NFL ready at this point. If they want to win a game they should go back to Leftwich. The offense was doing okay when he was at the helm. I don't think playing is necessarily the best thing for Johnson or Freeman at this point. There should be no rush.

Brook is a giant killer because of the possibility of huge plays he can make. If he's out I like McCoy, but as of now he can't make nearly the difference in a eagles giants game as Brook.

Right now I have absolutely no faith in the gmen. there was a good article in today's Post that they have a top ranked defense and offense, yet in the red zone on both sides, they are last and 27th in the league, respectively. Rep Power: 19 | | Man, Henne isn't the future because Teddy Ginn can't hold the damn ball... If Ted doesn't drop that pass into Sharper's hands, we probably win that game. Ginn isn't the future (Hence Brian Hartline replacing him at #1 on the depth chart). But yeah, that was the biggest choke of the year.

As for Ginn I think he can be a great wide out. When he was drafted I thought he'd be a huge bust, but I think he can be good, he must've been hanging out with Braylon Edwards or something this off season.

Kidding aside, with the game plan the dolphins have, I think you only need average QB to be have a good attack.

Coming from an eagles fan I would not lose any faith in the giants. I was not high on them coming into the season just because I didn't and still don't think they can make up for the loss of Plax. I know Smith is one of the top wide outs in the league right now, but he is no Plax simply because Plax was always doubled which opened up other receivers, which smith can't do yet.
I think their defense is still great though. And the offense can be good, they just need to give Jacobs the ball a lot more.
Coming into this weekend I think it'll be close as always. It all depends on if the eagles offense can get back on track because without DeSean Jacksons two big plays last week they looked like shit.
The eagles defense has been awesome for the most part this year. I think they can hold the giants to around 17-24 points, which will be enough if the eagles offense plays the way they're expected to play.
I really think Westbrook playing this week will mean the world in this game. Regardless of how he's been playing he always gives the giants trouble and opens up all of the receivers since he is dangerous catching out of the backfield. McCoy can't do this to the giants team yet.

The loss of Ward has been huge. And that is no shot at Bradshaw, he has been sick so far. But with Ward, you had three starters in your backfield so you could just give the ball more to whoever was clicking that day. With Jacobs, you have an enormous, physical back who will get banged up as the year goes on. With Bradshaw, you have a small, shifty runner who will get banged up as the year goes on. i think because of that, they have been tentative giving those guys touches, hence the increase in passing plays. i think they are kind of resting Jacobs so he is still healthy come the last 4 games of the regular season and into the playoffs. Not sure if age is catching up to some or what. Bradshaw has been very good, but losing Ward isn't the problem. He's doing nothing in Tampa - because he's on a bad team with a bad offensive line. I think he'd be struggling with the Giants this year.
Danny Ware needs to see more carries - now that he is healthy...
Giants biggest problem offensively? They forget about the intermediate pass. They either go 1-3 yards or a 30+ yard pass. Whatever happened to the 7-15 yard pass? Stupid Kevin Killdrive.

We need a good QB, and I believe Henne will be that guy... being a big Michigan fan, I watched Henne for 4 years destroy the Michigan record books... he ran a pro-style system since his freshman year... in High School... last year was like the only year since birth that he didn't start... he has the ability to make every throw you need, and with the tutoring of Pennington he has cut down on mistakes and careless decisions which haunted him at Michigan... he will not be a Peyton Manning type that goes for 300 and 3 TDs every week, but he has great leadership qualities, he has a cannon and now he is on his way to being a good decision maker... call me crazy, but give him a full year and I'd take him over Jay Cutler in a heart beat... then again, I don't think too highly of Cutler.

Henne looks like a good one to me. Not sure who he reminds me of, but with a full summer of being the starter in camp and 4 pre-season games, I think he could be good, maybe not elite, but good to very good.
