Rep Power: 14 | | Odom played huge today with Kobe feeling under the weather. Good road trip after the overtime loss to the Bobcats the Lakers went 6-0 on their East Road trip with wins against the Celtics and Cavs. The Lakers now have won both season series against those two teams and if they were to meet in the finals would have home court.

Rep Power: 22 | | The Lakers are absolutely the best team in the NBA right now... since losing Bynum Kobe dropped 61 in 36 in the Garden, then they follow it up by knocking off Boston in Boston and then being the first team to top LeBron and the Cavs in Cleveland... and they did so without, the guy that has been their 2nd most important component lately, IMO.

Rep Power: 14 | | Looking at the schedule the Lakers would need to go 32-0 on their remaining games to beat the 96 Bull's season record by one game like that would ever happen. The Lakers also have the most road games left in their schedule but we also play the Thunder, Grizzlies twice and the Bucks.

| | Quote: | Radmanovic: Lakers Don't Give Role Players Much Opportunity
Feb 09, 2009 3:42 PM EST
Vladimir Radmanovic, who was traded from the Lakers to the Bobcats this past weekend, claims that role players don't get much of an opportunity in Los Angeles.
"Being a Laker was a great experience," Radmanovic told The Charlotte Observer on Sunday. "But it was also frustrating not knowing when and how I'd play."
Radmanovic was traded to Charlotte in exchange for Adam Morrison and Shannon Brown.
"Phil's system, great as it is, doesn't give a role player much opportunity," Radmanovic said. "For Kobe Bryant, it's great. For Pau Gasol, it's great. But role players don't do much." |

Rep Power: 8 | | What is he talking about? Phil played him more than Walton last season I believe. Wasn't Radmonovic even starting during last year's playoffs? That man has no business as a starter for a championship team, or even as the 2nd guy off the bench for a championship team. He can now go fulfill his destiny as the 8th man for a crappy team. Congratulations to him.

Rep Power: 14 | | He'll be playing in the Euro league a year from now. He thought Jackson wasn't giving him any chances does he know that Larry Brown is the Bobcats coach?

Rep Power: 33 | | Radmanovic had 13 games in his debut, but it's not everyday the Bobcats are gonna play the Clippers or have a 21-point victory.

Rep Power: 33 | | Guess we won't be seeing Shannon Brown or Pornstache until after the All-Star Break. Hoping we'd at least see them tonight.

| They need to learn the offense, I guess. Tonight may be a classic Laker game that's far more difficult than it should be.

Rep Power: 33 | | Lakers end the half on a nice run. 60-47 lead.

Rep Power: 14 | | I thought the Lakers were going to be complaciant and take the Thunder lightly tonight after an amazing end to their road trip. But the Lakers kept at it and eventually pulled away winning the game.

Rep Power: 28 | | They were pretty complacent in some of their shot selection and the dangerous passes in transition. Sure, they did enough to win, but that was a fairly dodgy game.

| I really thought they were going to lose, the Thunder have been playing close against their opponents and when you factor that in on a back to back the Thunder had a good opportunity to win the game. Kevin Durant is a nice player but he's more of a volume shooter he reminds me of Carmelo during his first couple of seasons when he would put up any shot even if it was a bad one. Russel Westbrook is going to be a good player once he develops a consistent jump shot he's going to be deadly. Westbrook is not a pg more of a hybrid guard ala Wade and Mayo. This team along with Portland will be near the playoffs in a couple of years assuming they can keep all their core players.

Rep Power: 14 | | Kobe with the three 105-104 Lakers winning over Jazz. Oh no he does the Sam Cassel dance last time he did that the Lakers lost against the Spurs.

Rep Power: 14 | | Damn the Curse of the Sam Cassell dance, Kobe should quit doing it after making a big shot the two times he's done it the Lakers end up losing the game. Deron almost blew the game with this missed free throws. Odom showed up again another double double. Gasol should've gotten the ball more down the stretch, Okur had 5 fouls Gasol would've either gotten fouled or doubled to create an open three pointer.

Rep Power: 33 | | Tough loss, but just goes to show you have to be playing pretty good ball to beat the Lakers right now. Utah was almost 58 percent from the field. Plus you don't see Fish missing two late game threes.
Good first half of basketball. Let's hope this keeps up in the second half.

| | Quote: | Bynum Will Miss Another 6-10 Weeks
Lakers center Andrew Bynum will miss another six to ten weeks because of a torn medial collateral ligament in his right knee.
Los Angeles has been without Bynum for seven games already, and will have to rely on Pau Gasol and Lamar Odom if they want to upend the Celtics and Cavaliers for the NBA's best record.
Six weeks from Tuesday would mean Bynum could return as early as March 31, but ten weeks would push him back to April 28, when the postseason will have already begun. | It's deja vu all over again.

The original report on Feb. 2 was 8 to 12 weeks. Two weeks later, it was 6 to 10 weeks and in another two weeks, it will be 4 to 8 weeks.
