Yeah I hear you. My main thing is I dont want to trade Love for Thabeet. If we trade Love for Rubio I can live with that. But this rumor is awesome. Also drafting Rubio would keep us away from Flynn, Holliday, and Curry which would make my night. Im hoping that one of Thabeet/ Harden/ or Evans slips to the 5 or 6.

PG- Rubio/ Telfair
SG- Harden
SF- Gomes/ Brewer
PF- Love/ Smith
C- Jefferson

That would be a damn fun team to watch and would be on the right road for the future.

My thing is Im not sure how we get up to 5 without giving up 18? Maybe Utahs 1st next year?

Casual fans don't remember all role players. Anyone could name 100 players more popular than Dell Curry that played during Curry's career. He was a nice player, but not at all a popular. Stephen Curry's fans don't give a shit about his father. He built his reputation being the giant slayer in March going off for like 40 points. That is where he garnered all of his hype. It is not even debatable. He was an instant star after that tourney run. His name could have been Stephen Mesa.

Thats another reason I dont like Curry, he had a good 2 weeks in March. You know me, I MUCH MUCH MUCH prefer a guy who had a solid 3 or 4 years in college than a guy who had a couple good games.

okay you two are both wrong, I remember hearing about Curry way before the tourney even started, I believe it was back in Jan. & Feb. when he was going off for 30+ a night.

The one thing I will give you though is that I didnt hear about Curry before this year.

He had a couple good games throughout the year. I would be fine if we drafted him because he was the last good PG on the board at 18 or something but to have him the 2nd PG taken? Ick.

I didn't say he wasn't a good player until March. I am saying that is where the hype machine started.

I still dont know about that, I heard the hype start in January when he started going off also in Feb. Maybe the hype picked up more in the tourney but it was definately their before the tourney started

Your wrong bro, the general consensus of people, the casual fan, knew nothing of Davidson or Curry. Yes, in basketball circles he was known, however it wasn't until March where he developed a cult like following.

IDK, im not really a casual basketball fan so I cant really answer that, I just know I remember seeing him on sportscenter and them talking him up way back in Jan. & Feb. I also think I remember Slam having a piece on him in either the Feb. or March issue. but like I said I cant speak for the causal fan.

Anywho with the draft beginning in just under 6 hrs. i'm starting to get really excited about the 5th & 6th picks, plus 2 others. It should be interesting to see what moves the wolves will make. I expect the wolves to make a trade to get Rubio, now if that happens after he is drafted or not we will see. I can see the wolves standing pat, until either Thabeet or Rubio are selected and then try to deal from there.

I still would like to get Ty Lawson out of this draft, but I'd rather have Rubio. Ive also heard that we are looking at Curry with the 6th pick. Like I said should be an interesting night.

Wolves stayed at 5 &6, Rubio and Flynn are the picks. I like both guys, but will they keep both PGs? I suspect they will make some sort of trade before the night is through, just not sure what it will be at this point.

Maybe they can trade one of these guys to the Clippers for one of there 4 bigs. Although, I don't see Zach Randolphs MASSIVE nonexpiring deal going anywhere.

3 picks 3 pg's although I heard them say we traded Ty Lawson to Denver for a future pick. Honestly I loved Rubio, was not a big fan of flynn, and loved Ty Lawson, I thought we should have traded Flynn not Ty. However I now hope that the Wolves look at Wayne Ellington if he's still available

I hear you dude. Rather would have traded Flynn. Anybody know the particulars on the Charlotte pick owed Denver?

I hope this isn't true...I hate Nate Robinson and we absolutely do not need another PF.

The New York Knicks are working hard to cut a deal with the Minnesota Timberwolves to acquire guard Ricky Rubio, a Western Conference said.
One league GM said a deal “isn’t 100 percent,” but likely.
The T’wolves took Rubio fifth followed by Syracuse guard Jonny Flynn.

to me it doesnt matter what else we do this draft was a success to me, although the Ty Lawson deal is a done deal, but Wayne & Rubio/Flynn could be a nasty backcourt

Supposedly the trade would be 3 way with Memphis with Thabeet headed to Minnesota, Hill to Memphis, and Rubio to NY.

Kahn will be :assasinate: if he trades Rubio.
