Rep Power: 22 | | Like I said...its pretty easy to find a scorer like Mayo...much tougher to find a board crashing, outlet passing big man in Love. Did you find this post awesome? Yes |

Love was a top pick. Perk was a HS flyer in the mid 20's. I think board crashing men with the ability to throw the outlet are plentiful in the second round. As good as an outlet man as Love is, if you have your O largely based on Big Al down low, it doesn't matter. Did you find this post awesome? Yes |

Rep Power: 25 | | The point is you don't acquire as many role players as possible and then try and find a superstar to plug in. You get the best possible talent you can and build around those couple cornerstone pieces. IMO, Mayo is good enough to make an All Star caliber type jump as soon as next season. He has no real shot in the West, but he'd be a serious threat in the East. I am willing to bet Kevin Love will never make an All Star team.
A Mayo-Foye backcourt moving forward to complement PF Al Jefferson with some of the role players you already have in Carney, Telfair, Brewer, and Gomes. A guy like Thabeet to anchor a defense and ease Jefferson's load. Now you'd have something.
As it is, I still think adding Thabeet would be nice, but it would only solidify Love's role as a role player and you'd still have no PG or 2nd scoring option.
Love made a believer out of me. I had serious doubts, but he has a lot of different skills to work with. With that said, he is what he is and he will never do for the Wolves what Mayo could have.

We dont have a single bad contract left. The Wolves would have been hamstrung for years if they didnt get rid of them. They wouldnt have been able to add pieces. Now we have some money this year and will have tons of money next year to add players. We also have 3 1st Rounders this year, 2 2nd Rounders, and 2 1sts next year. Did you find this post awesome? Rep Power: 25 | | I didn't forget, but I also know the Wolves aren't luring any free agents (certainly not Bosh).
The positives outweigh the negatives when it comes to keeping Mayo.

You guys are going to end with like a Michael Redd or Richard Jefferson.

Rep Power: 6 | | Telfair over Redd, are you serious? Redd would give us an impact player, he might help transform us much like Joe Johnson did in Atlanta. You add Redd with Big Al & foye and now you have started something add in 3 first round draft picks, which I hope we get Thabeet to anchor the middle plus 2 more. if 1 of those other two could become a good role player or better and we might just be a serious contender in a year or two. Not to mention brewer will be back, so add in his defense and the Wolves actually look like they are putting a team together. Did you find this post awesome? Yes |

Rep Power: 22 | | Redd would be 31. Jefferson would be 30. They are non-impact players on the downside of their careers. Not someone I want to pair with a young, promising team. Plus why would we want someone "like" Joe Johnson, when Joe Johnson himself is an UFA in 2010 Did you find this post awesome? Yes |

Rep Power: 22 | | If we want to draft BPA I say we sign Mehmet Okur this year. Draft Harden & Lawson.
PG- Lawson/ Telfair
SG- Foye/ Harden/ Brewer
SF- Gomes/ Smith/ Carney
PF- Jefferson/ Love
C- Okur/ Jefferson Did you find this post awesome? Yes |

Unless you are a contender or a top market city, or a "cool city," all of which 'Sota is not. Did you find this post awesome? Yes |

Rep Power: 25 | | You don't realize that in 2010, unlike most years, there are actually going to be a number of teams under the cap whereas most years there is like 2-3. Minnesota is not going to land any marquee players, thus your going to end up with a Redd, Jefferson, or Prince or some shit.
James, Wade, Bosh, Amare, Dirk, Johnson, etc. None of thema re coming to Minnesota.
That is the point.
