Rep Power: 7 | | On the turning away from the pale and downtrodden I've been a big PF fan since the 70s. David Gilmore is one of my most favorite guitarists. My favorite album is "Momentary Lapse of Reason", but I love them all. We're gonna be losing a lot more of these guys in the next decade. Life goes on...

Rep Power: 20 | | I don't think we'll ever see anyone do the creative things that Pink Floyd have done. They still and ever will be in a genre of their own.
RIP, sir. You did the world a great deed.

Rep Power: 11 | | Pink Floyd was one of a kind and marched to it's own drum...
We will never witness anything like it again...
RIP

Rep Power: 27 | | Wright's been Waiting for the Worms for nine months, fellas. Nice sentiments, but don't go telling your friends that he just died.
I watched Biography on PF recently. Pretty amazing stuff, and absurd egos and drama. The Syd Barrett stories are interesting. If you want to see some amazing PF, get your hands on Live at Pompeii. No crowd - just Floyd and ruins. (Waters didn't think much of the fans.)

Rep Power: 7 | | yes, indeed... Boy, dead on DC...I call their style of music "Sonic Music". The lyrics and music of "On the Turning Away" is phenomenal. Some of my most enjoyable moments started with a couple of nice bowls, a half-pint, my white Stratocaster, my studio amp, and a CD coming through my Klipsch speakers. When I get warmed up good as I play along it's like zinging through Space hurtling towards some invisible Event Horizon...n5

Hands down the best era of Floyd, from Syd's departure to the album Darkside of the Moon.
Live At Pompeii is Floyd at it's finest.
