Rep Power: 8 | | Yankees trade for Jose Molina Yankees get Jose Molina from the Angels for Jeff Kennard (minors).
This will replace Nieves as backup catcher and insurance in case they can't sign Posada next year. |

Rep Power: 28 | | That means they're a slightly better team 1 game a week, when Posada gets the day off. I don't think that merits four exclamation points. Let me know if they trade for anybody resembling an impact player.

Rep Power: 16 | | Nothing like trading for a 32 year old .237 career hitter to make all the difference.
At least he can throw out runners, something Posada can't do.
However, I can't believe that Molina is the actually safety plan if Posada leaves next year.

Rep Power: 18 | | I doubt he is the safety plan. He is simply an upgrade at backup. |

Rep Power: 15 | | Angels have the injured Napoli and their prospect Mathis so the shittiest of the Molina brothers was expendable.

Rep Power: 8 | | The Yankees wanted to get rid of that guy because he had problems with Steriods thats the whole idea behind this trade;
Kennard, a middle reliever, had issues with steroid use back in 2005 but GM Bill Stoneman said, "Hopefully, he's learned his lesson." |

Rep Power: 0 | | I think this was an "easy" move for the Bombers to make. Through July 14th, Nieves was 6 for 50 (.120) with 2 walks on the season. Jose Molina isn't anything to get excited about, but just about anything has to be an upgrade at this point. Some kind of upgrade was necessary. I was really disappointed they couldn't employ Sal Fasano as the backup catcher this year...
