I didn't come in here beating my chest and attack you, I questioned what you'd heard about the Phillies signing an extention with Lee, and it turned out simply that you knew nothing but you continued to try and argue your way out. You were wrong, move on and quit arguing with me about it.
I'm not attacking you because I have something against you as you seem to think, I actually like your posts about the Coyotes. However, just like anyone else, when you make a dumb comment that is wrong, people will call you out. The way to solve that isn't talking about the loads of e-mails sent to you begging you to come back (which I don't think anyone believes you received) or futilely trying to argue your way out of past statements, it's to be right from the start or own up to mistakes.

For those who actually follow the Phils, here's my thought on the Lee contract. Gillick was never a fan of offering a starting pitcher more than 3-year contracts. Amaro is cut from the same cloth. Yes, he could go 4-years but I really find it hard to believe they will go longer than that. Now if you're Lee, even though you have a great chance to win a ring here, money talks. Assuming he has a good year next year, Lee will see a Zito-esque contract similiar to 7-years/$126M. That is not something the Phillies will do. That's just not their philosophy-right or wrong. As much as it pains me to say it, the Yankees will....and will most likely go even higher (CC, Burnett, etc). Why take 3-4 years from Philly when you can get 7-8 years from the Yankees?? Not exactly the same scenario but I see the same think happening to Werth. It sucks but when you have a chance to cash in, you take the money.

Point of parliamentary procedure:
1. It is not fair to criticize a lack of action when you fail to contact mods or admin. It appears the topic has not existed long and the fracas even less. I can state I did not get a PM or contacted about this matter. I only learned of it today after reading another post about personal attacks. I do not read all the threads and would not expect admin, super mods, mods or other regular poster to do so either.
2. What the hell has gotten into the water here at SRM? I read this entire thread and found the content marginally addressing the issues initially raised while the post quickly devolved into the equivalent of fraternity brothers fighting over the pool table. I am aware that there are posters who do not like each other, painfully aware. That being said, we do not have to collectively get after each other at each opportunity that presents itself. We have better things to do. If you feel something crosses the line, contact admin, super mods, other mods or me after you try to get the matter resolved in good faith and remain unsatisfied, and we will try to help in a reasonable time and in a reasonable manner.
