Default Rank these FA Outfielders

Rank these outfielders based on expected contract

Left Fielders
Bay, 31 4- 60 (Boras Contract)
Matt Holliday, 30 - 5-75 (excelled in NL, not good in oakland)
Damon, 36 - 2 -25 (noodle arm, career offensive year)
Matsui, 36 - 2 - 20? (full time dh) outfielder is .. stretching it.
Carl Crawford, 28 - ?? (has team option of 10mil, do not know if rays are picking this up since they are dumping salary)

Center fielders are pretty bad this year.

Type B's are Byrd, Cameron, Jerry Hairston Jr.
ouch.

Right Fielders
Vlad, 35 2- 30 (can't really field, bad knees)
Bobby Abreu, 36 2-30 had a really good year.
Giles, 36 on his last legs, was really productive years back
Nady, 36 coming off major surgury

in my opinion, this years crop is awful and basically no one is worth the money they'll be demanding. The only one I like is crawford, who the rays have a team option.

I could see this year being like last year where owners get bargains and 1 year deals.

Bay, Holliday, and Crawford at the top, then everyone else. I am suspicious that Matsui will go back to Japan. Holliday isn't going anywhere; McGwire already trains him in the offseason, so signing Big Mac as hitting coach is a big tell. Damon can still hit, but that's about it. He's already 36. Maybe he can get a two-year deal somewhere as primary DH. I suspect NY is going to go after Crawford, but Tampa Bay will have to offer him arbitration or they'll lose a second round pick.

can't Chone Figgins play the corners as well? It is my understanding the Yanks will try to replace Damon with him in the offseason.

i think that is an awful signing. he's going to be demanding a huge contract, for a corner outfielder that doesn't have pop.

brett gardner is basically the same thing.

In that case...i'd probably go after Crawford over anyone else.

If the Yankees don't bring Johnny Damon back, the White Sox look like a good fit. They need a leadoff hitter, and while they'd love to sign free agent Chone Figgins and move him to the outfield, he may get too pricy. While Damon has been a No. 2 hitter for the Yankees, he could easily go back to the top spot and give the White Sox some leadoff power.

Crawford could play anywhere in the outfield. He is my top guy followed by Holliday & Bay

Damon, Matsui, Vlad, and Abreu are all probably better served to DH. Like everyone else, Bay-Holliday-Crawford would have to be just about the consensus top 3. I think you could make a decent arguement for any of them depending on the need of your team.
