Yankees discussed signing Barry Bonds at trade meeting

The Yankees discussed the possibility of signing Barry Bonds during a meeting in Tampa on Thursday.

The New York Post reports that Jarrod Washburn is still the team's top priority, and that this meeting covered just about every potential acquisition the Yanks could make, including names like Bronson Arroyo, Damaso Marte, Will Ohman, Brian Fuentes and Xavier Nady. The Bonds talk was likely more due diligence than anything.

I think they will be looking mostly to add a pitcher. Most of their bats are 2nd half hitters and it is starting to show now.
