Remember when Giambi got really sick, and most doctors sited his particular illness was almost always associated with steroid use? I wouldn't be surprised if this was the same type of thing.......

Latest word is that Brock has an intestinal problem and is going to need surgery. Dana White said his career could possibly be over.

It's all very fishy at this point. I'm waiting for this to become an episode of House, so we can get some clarity.

My prediction will be that he will be tested for Septicaemia, obviously be wrong and realize its just Lupus. And while hes being treated for that, his skin begins to deteriorate in front of their eyes. While House is making snide comments about how everyone is fucking up, he declares, "I should stay away from you guys, you are lepers to me" the camera does a close up on his face as he has an euphony. He asks Lesnar if he's been near any men in the ages of 1,000 to 1,500 years old half jokingly. Lesnar then explained that he had dug up the remains of King Baldwin II and he actually coughed in his Lesnar's face. He treats him for leprosy as the symptoms of indigestion, crankiness, and deteriorating skin correlate to that of a Leper and puts him on a treatment of rifampicin, clofazimine, dapsone, and ginger ale for the upset stomach.

He reportedly has diverticulitis.

Diverticulitis is swelling (inflammation) of an abnormal pouch (diverticulum) in the intestinal wall. These pouches are usually found in the large intestine (colon). The presence of the pouches themselves is called diverticulosis.

Shit sounds vicious. Is he going to be able to make a full recovery do you know?

One of my friends dad had that and nearly died. He has since made a full recovery, but I have no idea what his athletic limitations are.

Isn't brought on by eating seeds?

I actually think Crones and Diverticulitis are very similar.

Of course, I could be completely wrong.

I highly doubt it... eating seeds doesn't do anything to you. I've also heard that seeds give you appendicitis which is also very false...

I'm not a doctor but looking at the wikipedia page it says that lack of dietary fiber is a main cause. Also it can be hereditary... Looks like Mr Lesnar isn't eating his vegetables... lay off the meat big man.

My dad had it and was able to correct it by changed his diet. It's caused mainly by eating too many seeds and nuts. I'm not sure if there are different degrees of it, but it's pretty common and is easily correctable. They gave him a list of over 100 items on it to avoid such as coffee and chocolate. I know he was in a ton of pain, but at no point was it life-threatening.

It doesn't seem like Lesner has this as it is correctable. I'd be surprised if it's not something much more serious, like a result of steroid usage. Dana White made it sound like he had something seriously wrong like cancer or organ failure. It'll be interesting to see how they spin this in the future.

I will keep eating them because my father, who is a gastroenterologist, says that seeds really don't cause illnesses.. I actually have had this conversation before. However, if you eat an outrageous amount of seeds, then maybe this can happen? It just sounds a little outlandish to think seeds are the root of the problem... it was probably a diet as a whole (one that lacked dietary fiber like I explained above). But if the doctor told your dad that it was the seeds, then who am I to call you a liar.
